The Matremoine

Honeymoons are now so expensive that they often cost as much as the wedding. With the cost-of-living crisis, it's hard for many couples to afford a special trip together. The Matremoine is a low-cost honeymoon concept that offers couples a mental getaway into an art deco-inspired retreat in Camp Hill, Brisbane. It leans into the building’s old theatre bones, encouraging screen-free connection through board games and shared time. This design was created through researching the local area and similar typologies, exploring art deco forms and finishes and understanding the users’ experiences. This design was created by using sketch up and rendering in photoshop for a less realistic visualization.

Yellow Trace Poster Medium

The Matremoine digital design concept was traced onto large scale yellow trace poster for the artisan window gallery in Bowen Hills. This installation was designed to show another medium designers use to convey concepts to clients. This was a very fun project and was amazing to see my work in a real-life gallery as a university student. This poster was displayed in August 2024 with a month lease.
