The Matremoine
Honeymoons have become a very expensive holiday, that cost nearly has much as the wedding itself. With the cost-of-living crisis, who can afford to travel away to spend quality time together. The Matremoine is a newlywed escape which mentally transports you into an art deco escape in the Brisbane suburb of Camp Hill. It reduces the cost of honeymooning, due to staying local but, keeps the memorable part alive. This fit out draws inspiration from its original buildings purpose being a theatre, through using art deco joinery and partition walls to create theatrical and historic features. It does not contain any technology within the room, except for in the kitchen, to allow the couple to be together without technological advances and distractions. The room is designed for the pair to be together, pay board games, cook and bake together and explore the beautiful historic suburbs.

Yellow Trace Poster Medium
The Matremoine digital design concept was traced onto large scale yellow trace poster for the artisan window gallery in Bowen Hills. This installation was designed to show another medium designers use to convey concepts to clients. This was a very fun project and was amazing to see my work in a real-life gallery as a university student. This poster was displayed in August 2024 with a month lease.
